The job:
Effectively manage packing functions for all classes of fruit, adhering to best practice procedures and within set budgets and timelines.
Minimise fruit loss, maintain safety standards, and ensure product meets HPC and market specifications to deliver optimal returns to our growers.
Supervise packing, tray maker, and key staff during production, and develop and implement a comprehensive packhouse cleaning program.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, with a focus on people, values, and efficiency in all packhouse operations.
You:
Proven experience in leading and organising large teams to achieve set KPIs.
Background in a production role, with a strong understanding of operational processes.
Exceptional people skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals and convey essential information in a timely manner.
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Consistent, observant, and methodical nature to make sound decisions under pressure.
Honest, reliable, and possessing a strong work ethic with flexibility in work schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and extended hours during peak production periods.
