This role will ensure Employee Safety, Product Quality and Asset Performance while delivering the Production Plan on time.A day in the life…Reporting to the Production Manager and leading our Manufacturing team, the key responsibilities include:Ensure the timely deployment of People development plan and assure the competencies of his/her area of responsibility as per the agreed plan with PM (proper training inc. equipment, safety procedures, hygiene).Ensure continuous line Controls and immediate corrective action to assure prescribed quality and to ensure compliance with manufacturing instructions.Enforce strict compliance to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by all personnel within the area of responsibility.Coach employees to fulfil and exceed the requirements of the job through Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) approach.Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety e.g. protective clothing (uniform), shoe change & hand wash.Ensure ongoing smooth operations of factory through effective employee and industrial relations management.Ensure that there is an adequate distribution of skills to enable production plan to be achieved effectively.Ensure timely launch of new products to the Market as per agreed with the business unit.Ensure adequate maintenance of the installations in coordination with quality, engineering & administration.What Will Make You SuccessfulJoining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a proven effective people team leader with a drive to deliver quality outcomes with efficiency and with a passion for continuous process improvement.Proved matured knowledge in Food Manufacturing or Degree / Diploma in Food Sciences or Engineering.3+ years' experience relevant to this role.Demonstration of Leadership skills in positively confronting inappropriate behaviour and using everyday coaching to ensure involvement of the workforce.It is essential that you have excellent people management skills, with a continuous improvement mind-set and demonstrable experience in leading and engaging a team to motivate and enhance performance.You will demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analysis, decision-making abilities.Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment checks, including but not limited to health checks, prior to appointment to this role.Applicants must have full New Zealand working rights.BenefitsYou will have the chance to work with an outstanding and highly engaged team, build and grow your career with an inclusive, global FMCG leader.In addition, we offer:Varied career experiences and personalised development support.Wellbeing benefits including vaccinations and health insurance discounts.Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and program.Paid parental and partner leave.Purchase Leave Scheme.Volunteering leave, Sports leave, Emergency Services leave.Discounted Nestlé products.Our StoryNestlé enjoys a reputation as one of the world's largest FMCG companies and a leader in nutrition, health and wellness.
