Lifts Mechanic Cardrona Alpine Resort is on the hunt for a dedicated, passionate, and skilled Lifts Mechanic specialist to join our dynamic team! If you thrive on heights and enjoy navigating skidoos, this position is tailor-made for you.Early risers, this one's for you! As one of the first to ascend the mountain each day, you'll play a pivotal role in keeping our lifts operational year-round. Your proven maintenance and mechanical expertise is crucial in ensuring our lifts run safely and efficiently.We're seeking a reliable team player who's approachable and hardworking. The ability to remain composed under pressure, solve problems on the fly, prioritise tasks effectively, and manage your time efficiently are all key to excelling in this role.And here's the exciting part: Your job includes a dash of fun, whether you're hitting the slopes for skiing and snowboarding during winter or enjoying mountain biking in the summer months! This is a year-round position based at Cardrona.We're looking for someone who has:Proficiency with ski lifts or ropeway equipment and a comfort with working at elevated heightsMechanical or engineering trade certification or equivalent qualificationsPrevious experience working in a mountainous environment with varying conditionsSkill in safely operating snowmobiles, ATVs, and 4x4 vehiclesSkiing or snowboarding proficiency within the resort is a plusCurrent Working at Heights ticket preferableWhat do you get out of this?As well as the free pass and all the discounts up the mountains , you can also take a friend for free with you to explore some of NZ's most memorable experiences - jet boating, rafting, travel on the TSS Earnslaw and enjoy the famous BBQ at Walter Peak, visit Te Anau Glowworm Caves, Milford and Doubtful Sound and Rakiura.
