About the Role This role provides customer-focused services and community-led support which responds to the diverse needs of the community, and increases the awareness of, and engagement with community hub services including the library.
Right now, we have a great permanent opportunity – working Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm.
You will be working across the Eastbourne and Moera Neighbourhood Hubs; however, you may be required to work in one of our other Lower Hutt based Hubs on occasion.
Our Neighbourhoods & Communities group works alongside the community to maintain active and vibrant networks, both within Council and across our shared spaces.
This group aims to enhance the impact of our collective efforts for the communities we serve.
About You We are looking for an innovative and community-focused person with a can-do attitude and passion for developing and supporting library programmes and hub services.
You will have an outstanding customer service and community-led development ethos, with the ability to work alongside a diverse range of people of all ages and from every part of our community.
You'll need to have a library qualification, and it's a bonus if you have expertise in a related field like book retailing, teaching, adult learning, digital literacy, social work, or youth development.
