Legal Secretary / Assistant

Harmans Lawyers – Christchurch, South Island
We have a full-time position available for an experienced legal secretary / legal assistant in our busy Commercial and Property Law Team.
The Role
The role will involve:
Assisting with conveyancing and business transaction files
Preparing legal documents and correspondence
Opening files and undertaking AML verification
Liaising with clients
Assisting with billing and invoicing
Other administrative tasks as required to support the legal team
About you
Applicants should have the following attributes:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Be highly organised and able to cope with multiple tasks and deadlines.
Show initiative and have a strong work ethic.
Take pride in the presentation of their work.
Demonstrate strong Microsoft Word and Outlook skills, with a high level of accuracy.
Be familiar with legal practice management systems.
Experience in conveyancing is preferred.
