Add expected salary to your profile for insightsExciting Opportunity for an Experienced Corporate CounselA rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished Corporate and Commercial Lawyer to join a growing in-house legal team in New Zealand.
This newly created role offers variety, challenge, and the chance to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.About the RoleThis position sits at the heart of the organisation's legal function, reporting directly to the Head of Legal and being a part of a close-knit team.
The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, shareholder arrangements, corporate structuring matters and investments.Key responsibilities include:Overseeing the M&A process, including due diligence, negotiations, and documentation.Drafting and advising on contracts such as shareholder agreements.Advising on corporate governance and engaging with the Board and Risk Committees.Supporting major business initiatives and projects.Monitoring legal developments and ensuring compliance with regulatory changes.About YouThe ideal candidate will be a New Zealand-qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate and at least 5 years of corporate law experience, including some M&A / deal experience.
