Lecturer, Skills for Learning (Supported Learners) Course Development
Participate in the ongoing curriculum development of Skills for Learning and Working programme (Supported Learners).
Develop course materials as per unit standard requirements.
Teach specific subjects in Skills for Learning and Working (Supported Learners) as agreed.
Provide defined learning objectives and teaching plans in accordance with curriculum development.
Regularly review, update and revise teaching content and process relative to changing requirements.
Facilitate the learning process through a variety of experiences and activities by encouraging students to participate in and accept responsibility for their own learning.
Maintain professional standards of practice and act as a role model in teaching situations.
Ensure course materials are relevant to students.
Provide relevant practical learning experiences within the Institute and wider community, suited to students of a wide range of ages, life experiences, and cultural backgrounds.
Liaise with caregivers, disability support groups, and supported employment personnel, as appropriate, in developing and arranging student learning experiences in the practice setting.
