The academic will ensure that our students have a positive learning experience informed by up-to-date research and supported by creative learning technologies.
This might include programme leadership, course coordination, clinical placements, student mentoring, and supervision of postgraduate research students.Applicants will possess an outstanding research record in physiotherapy as demonstrated through publications in top-ranked journals and success in attracting research funding.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish an innovative and competitive programme in the area of musculoskeletal research, establish new research collaborations within the university and with external stakeholders, and attract external research income.Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:A PhD in a relevant discipline (Human Movement and Sports Science or equivalent).An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Physiotherapy.Eligibility to practise as a Physiotherapist in New Zealand or Australia.Evidence of curricula design at under- and postgraduate levels.Experience in teaching and supervision in the fields of Physiotherapy and/or Human Movement and Sports Sciences.Demonstrated history of research excellence with peer-reviewed publications and securing research funding.Demonstrated potential to build sustainable relationships with industry partners and experience in promoting partnerships and research links with outside organisations/agencies.The academic appointment will be made according to the successful candidate's research profile and academic experience from Lecturer to Associate Professor.
