Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Financial Technologies (FinTech) & Finance Seeking applications for a finance professional to join our faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce.
We are seeking applications for a vibrant and dynamic team member to join our Department of Financial and Business Systems.
This teaching role is primarily in the Financial Technologies (Fintech) Master of Fintech and Investment Management, and supporting the Bachelor of Commerce major in and Finance, the Bachelor of Commerce (Agriculture and Professional Accounting), and Master of Business (Finance).
Staff in the department also supervise a number of Masters and PhD students carrying out research in Fintech, accounting and finance.
Key tasks of the role include: Initiate, develop and conduct high quality research.
Advance and enhance the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Contribute to the supervision of postgraduate students' research.
Contribute to the wider functioning of the University.
Add to extension and other professional activities related to the discipline.
This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week based at our Lincoln campus.
Remuneration for this position is as follows: Associate Professor: Grade A8, $125,263 - $141,632 To be successful in this role you will need: A completed PhD in Finance, Financial Technology, Financial Econometrics, Computational Finance or other relevant qualifications commensurate with the seniority of the role.
Technical or professional knowledge, skills and experience A developing record of scholarly research and publication and/or creative work A research agenda Demonstrated evidence of some successful teaching in a relevant field at tertiary level Demonstrated evidence of good oral and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.
Proven ability to develop and deliver course content in financial technology topics such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, fintech innovation, financial data analytics, and AI in finance.
Proficiency in digital tools and platforms relevant to financial technology, such as blockchain technologies, machine learning, data analytics tools, and financial modelling software.
Ability to incorporate technology effectively into teaching and research.
A relevant professional qualification, such as FRM, PRM, CFA, or equivalent, will be an advantage.
