The Computing unit is the lead IT Academy for Cisco in New Zealand, and it is also an IT Academy for AWS, Microsoft, and VMware.
It offers a range of programmes from entry level to level 7 degrees for those working in or seeking careers in IT.
These include the New Zealand Diploma in IT Technical Support, the Bachelor of ICT and the Graduate Diploma in ICT.
Programmes are offered at the city campus.In an exciting new partnership with SZJ University in China, we will send a team of lecturers to deliver IT courses aligned with our Bachelor of ICT programme.This role is dedicated to full-time joint delivery in China.
Therefore, it requires teaching during the Chinese academic year - two semesters, each approximately 17-20 weeks.
Details of the delivery schedule will be confirmed with successful applicants before commencing teaching in China.
The delivery mode is primarily face-to-face.Will work with a staff of experienced IT practitioners and educators - team connections and collaborations are essential.The successful applicant is expected to have various technical skills and knowledge of critical technologies.This rolewill work with a team of staff who are experienced IT practitioners and educators.Candidates areexpected to have various technical skills and knowledge of key technologies, including educational technologies.This role reports to the academic leader/manager who heads the IT Portfolio (Computing).
