Au Mahi | What You Will Do
The UC Business School seeks to appoint a continuing part-time Lecturer in Human Resource Management (Teaching & Admin) to contribute to its reputation for excellence in the teaching, learning, and delivery of business education. The role will contribute to the development and teaching of Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour courses at the undergraduate level within the UC Business School.
Aligned with our aim of producing work-ready graduates, appointment to this role requires both academic and professional expertise in Human Resource Management and New Zealand employment relations and legislation. The role is ideally suited to someone with a strong industry background and a passion for sharing their knowledge and expertise. Competency in te reo Maori me ona tikanga is an advantage.
The Lecturer will deliver 200 and 300-level courses within the Bachelor of Commerce, involving course coordination, teaching of face-to-face lectures, delivery of tutorials, and setting and marking of assessments. Other teaching assignments may arise to support departmental needs in the wider Management discipline.

You will have a relevant postgraduate degree (Bachelor with Honours or higher) related to Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, or Organisational Behaviour. Extensive prior work experience (minimum of 10 years) in human resource management or employment relations roles is essential. The ideal candidate will relate well to our vision of producing graduates who are biculturally competent and confident and have both the subject-specific and business knowledge necessary to contribute to future social and economic wellbeing in New Zealand. As the successful appointee, you will display the following attributes:
existing record of high-quality teaching in a tertiary environment
existing record of using innovative teaching pedagogy
extensive working experience relevant to the discipline area
demonstrated knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and industrial relations
experience in the design and delivery of industry or workplace training will be an advantage

This role sits within the Academic Staff, Associated Staff, and Academic Support Staff Collective Agreement, and the following salary scale applies:
The salary range for this position is: $66,874 p.a. to $99,688 p.a.
