Te aheinga: The opportunity The School of Creative Industries is seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Lecturer to join our innovative team. As a Dance Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality classroom and vocational learning across Performing and Screen Arts programmes within the School. This role involves engaging in relevant research, teaching, and co-ordination to support the school's objectives and vital position in relation to the professional industry.
Minimum Requirements: An understanding or desire to learn te reo Maori, tikanga Maori, and the values and practices of kaupapa MaoriEvidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environmentsA relevant degree in Dance, with an evidenced body of work in professional and/or practice-based training contextsProven experience in teaching and vocational trainingExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to fostering a supportive learning environmentStrong research background and ability to contribute to academic publicationsAdditionally, a postgraduate degree in Dance is preferred but not mandatory.Why Unitec?
