Bridgepoint's Kaupapa is to 'create pathways to success' for all our students. Our learning is highly contextualised and collaborative.
As a Lecturer in Bridging Education specialising in Bioscience, you will create a supportive and rich learning environment in and out of the classroom to achieve excellent student outcomes. You will spend time in the classroom teaching theory, but most of the learning is done through practical, hands-on experience. Our well-equipped laboratories are excellent teaching and learning facilities. You will proactively engage in Treaty Based partnerships across the organisation, demonstrating your strong commitment to Tikanga and Matauranga Maori.
Minimum Requirements: An understanding or desire to learn te reo Maori, tikanga Maori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Maori.Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments.Experience teaching NZQF level 3 and 4 (or equivalent NCEA level 2 and 3) bioscience (some biochemistry)/human biology and are familiar with laboratory processes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Have worked collaboratively and effectively with staff, other professionals and students.Possess excellent interpersonal skills.A teaching qualification would be ideal.Tono mai: How to Apply To be considered for this position, applicants must be a NZ Citizen or NZ Permanent Resident.
