Then this could be the position for you.As part of our ongoing commitment to inspiring students and communities to succeed, UCOL's Wairarapa Campus is seeking a highly motivated lecturer, or suitably qualified professional to deliver Barbering within our U-Skills Trade Academy.This is a fixed-time, part-time position (8 hours per week on a Tuesday, ends October 2025).
The successful candidate will be a qualified barber with a NZ Certificate in Commercial Barbering (Level 4); a National Certificate in Barbering; a Trade Certificate in Barbering; or equivalent; or a qualification in advance of these and hold unit standards 4098 and 11552, or are able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills.It is desirable if you also have an Adult Tertiary Teaching qualification and/or the NZ Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education or be working towards these.This position, based at our Wairarapa Campus in Masterton, will require you to be hands-on, facilitating one-on-one learning, mentoring and motivating students, and working with students individually.
Your well-tuned rapport and communication skills will be essential.
