We are seeking a proven leader to provide operational management and strategic vision for our Academic Success, Teaching Enhancement and Inclusive Education teams.
Reporting to the Director of Learning, Teaching & Library, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of both student academic support programmes and teaching design, enhancement, development and educational media services. In alignment with our Manaaki Tauira Learner Success and Disability Action Plans, you will oversee the implementation and delivery of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Some tasks of the role include:
Manage the Academic Success, Teaching Enhancement, Inclusive Education teams and Media Production staff, and corresponding programmes of work.
Develop innovative strategies to enhance learner success, promote academic staff development, and support the development of academic content.
Ensure that the Learning & Teaching Excellence strategy and delivery is focussed on providing a service that supports the learning and career aspirations of both students and academic staff.
This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week based at our Lincoln Campus. The salary range is set at $110,000 - $120,000 per annum.
To be successful in this role you will need:
A relevant postgraduate qualification in Education, educational psychology or learning theory OR an equivalent combination of experience and qualifications.
At least five years of experience working in a teaching and learning centre, or similar setting, designing and delivering development programs and services, preferably in a leadership role, is required.
Teaching experience at tertiary level is highly preferred.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required.
An understanding of Te Reo Maori and tikanga.
The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
The ability to work effectively with staff, faculty, administrators, and University personnel at all levels is required.
