Learning Support Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time learning support coordinator to start at our kura in term 1, 2025.The successful candidate will be an experienced, fully registered teacher who is passionate about making a significant impact on the lives of tamariki and whanau.As an LSC, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and shaping the learning support system in our kura. This mahi involves:Working closely and building relationships with our kaiako, leadership team, parents, whanau, and external agencies.Collaborating with kaiako and support staff to co-construct strategies/plans to support the development for akonga with learning support and behavioural needs, including gifted learners and English language learners.Building inclusive learning environments, empowering kaiako to better meet the diverse needs of learners, and ensuring that all students have equitable access to the services and resources they require to succeed.Supporting participation, progress, and successful transitions.Being flexible and responsive to the daily needs of our tamariki and kaiako.Being solution-focused and displaying excellent organisational, communication, and motivational skills.Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:Leadership within a kura.Trauma-informed and restorative practices.Child development.Facilitation of group meetings.A strong understanding of the learning support system including Student funding applications, IEPs, and ESOL processes.Please send your CV, and direct enquiries to:Stacey Kelson, Office Manager20 Princess Road, ******(07) 576 5916Download our application formApplication for Appointment of Position at Bellevue School 1 v2
