The successful candidate will be an experienced teacher who is dedicated to making a significant impact on the lives of tamariki and whanau.The LSC plays a pivotal role in supporting and shaping the learning support system within our Kura. This mahi involves:Working closely, building relationships with our kaiako, our leadership team, parents, whanau, and external agenciesCollaborating with kaiako and support staff to co-construct strategies/plans to support the development for akonga with learning support and behavioural needs, including gifted learners and English Language LearnersBuilding inclusive learning environments, empowering kaiako to better meet the diverse needs of learners, and ensuring that all students have equitable access to the services and resources they require to succeedSupporting participation, progress and successful transitionsBeing flexible and responsive to the daily needs of our tamariki and kaiakoBeing solution-focused and displaying excellent organisational and communication skills.An understanding and knowledge of culturally responsive and relational pedagogy.Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:Leadership within a KuraTrauma informed and restorative practicesChild developmentFacilitation of group meetingsCoaching and mentoringA strong understanding of the learning support system including student funding applications, external referral processes, alternative assessments and support plans.How to applyPlease send your CV, and direct enquiries to:Physical address:40 Station Road, Huapai
