Learning Support Coordinators (2 Positions)Full time, PermanentPrimary and Intermediate (Years 1–8) / Kura Tuatahi, Certificated TeacherThe Porirua West Kahui Ako are seeking 2 Learning Support Coordinators to work collegially within our region. This permanent position will start in 2025 during Term 1. The successful applicants will be working with akonga/students, kaiako/teachers, whanau, and agencies to support the learning and wellbeing of our students.Key Attributes for the Role Include:Demonstrate an ability to form positive, outcome-based relationships with akonga/whanauDemonstrate successful experience in working with and including akonga with learning support needs in the classroomA sound knowledge, commitment to, and understanding of the learning support system and the Learning Support prioritiesThe ability to engage at a school/kura and cluster leadership level influencing skills at a working levelUnderstanding of te ao MaoriA current teaching practising certificate and relevant teaching qualificationLSCs will work to build the learning support capability of kaiako/teachers and to help identify and plan for the learning support needs of all of the akonga in our Kahui Ako.
