The successful candidate will be responsible for working directly with a caseload of student-athletes to facilitate the enhancement of their skills needed to succeed at the university level.Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per yearJob Description:We are looking for a dynamic and innovative individual who can create rapport and build productive relationships with student-athletes, while assisting colleagues in the development of a student-centered, service-oriented program of support. The learning specialist will oversee the tutorial support program, which includes recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling tutoring appointments each semester.Key Responsibilities:Assist student-athletes with learning disabilities by implementing specific study skill strategies and techniques to facilitate the development of long-term academic skills.Assist with the process of registering for accommodations with the Office of Disability Resources and Services and help student-athletes understand how to best utilize them.Develop an appropriate strategic plan to enhance and facilitate learning and independent study for assigned collegiate student-athletes.Facilitate a comprehensive assessment plan to create individual learning profiles for all Temple student-athletes.Collaborate with staff to determine the appropriate level of support.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in education, school psychology or related field.At least three years of directly related experience, including one year of experience providing supplemental support for students with disabilities.Master's degree in a related field and experience working directly with student-athletes in the college setting are preferred.Location: Pennsylvania-Philadelphia-Main Campus-Pearson Hall
