The roleFull time, permanent role based in Northcote, Auckland. Design and optimise Moodle e-learning framework for the current clinical workforce as well as Internationally Qualified Nurses (IQNs). Create engaging learner experiences that not just drives business growth but delivers quality improvement and impact. You will be reporting to our National Medical, Education & Research Director.We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate Learning Development Advisor to join our clinical education team at Oceania Healthcare in Auckland at our Northshore (Northcote) office. This role is to work alongside our clinical education team to support the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of e-learning programmes on our Moodle Learning Management System (LMS).Oceania Healthcare is a leading provider of aged care services in New Zealand, with over 40 sites located in metropolitan areas across the country. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional and innovative care and hospitality services that delight our residents.What you'll be doing:Design and optimise e-learning framework for the clinical workforce.Oversee the continual development of our LMS for IQNs.Develop an effective implementation and delivery of our e-learning offerings, in conjunction with our clinical education team.Manage day-to-day operations, coordination, design and implementation of e-learning modules and act as 'in-house' expert in Moodle system functionality and capability.Involvement across the learning design lifecycle: conduct training needs analysis, scope projects, design, build solutions and measure impacts.Support and guide clinical education team to develop e-learning content, including training on the pedagogical best practice for delivering professional learning and development through blended, synchronous, and asynchronous means.Providing ongoing quality review of content and format.Assisting with the implementation of new processes.Assisting with gap analysis to identify new or improved content.Create and maintain an e-learning style guide to ensure delivery of a consistently superior learner experience from a visual and engagement perspective.Create e-learning experiences that drive business growth while being nationally scalable, locally relevant, inclusive, and equitable for all.Optimise assets for engagement, enjoyment, and learning, ensuring that they are delivered in line with VARK principles of visual, auditory, reading/writing and kinesthetic styles of learning.What you'll bring:Must have expertise with Moodle e-learning software/platform as a learning designer with an in-depth knowledge of the back-end functions of Moodle.Minimum bachelor's degree with professional experience in learning and development and change management.Postgraduate degree would be an advantage, but not essential.Experience in clinical education environment will be an advantage.High-level communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Demonstrated ability to develop innovative strategies for LMS integration and 'futureproofing'.Demonstrated experience in developing e-learning and online courses.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in the preparation and administration of educational courses.Professional demeanour and high level of personal integrity.High level of attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.A high level of interest in technology and the ability to introduce new technology to support the achievement of organisational goals.Previous proven documentation of developing and writing training programs.The ability to lead and motivate learners by appealing to the characteristics of adult learners.Ability to assess training needs, translate job requirements into training requirements, and coordinate instructional material both during development and in presentations.Previous experience assessing performance and skill sets, to determine the appropriate strategy to achieve optimal results.Networking skills to help get all others to support the training activities, including the ability to encourage and improve the level of engagement within their team.Presentation skills suitable to all types of training methods.An ambitious work ethic that is a positive role model for all.Computer literate with experience in several software platforms including MS Office suite.A trustworthy, credible, and respected team player with a track record of setting and meeting commitments.Change management experience, with a demonstrated track-record of successfully implementing change.Ability to build strong positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
