Full Time Opportunity Monday - Friday, Attractive Hourly Rate Join a collaborative team with supportive leadership THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Production Scheduler, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production, staff activities, and resources to maximize total output, minimize direct labour, and quality costs on each job processed in the Welding work centre. RESPONSIBILITIES Prioritize job schedule according to Production Scheduler's requirements. Select and prepare material as required for manufacture. Ensure that nothing but exceptional quality product leaves the weld work centre. Minimize weld bay downtime. Plan maintenance activities to maximize machine availability. Train current and future staff to maximize skill base, flexibility, efficiency, and quality. Ensure Welding and productivity "best-practice". ABOUT YOU Thorough understanding and experience in all facets of sheet metal welding, particularly MIG/TIG - Aluminium and Stainless. Experience managing and mentoring a team. Proven experience planning workflow, maximizing efficiency, and ensuring on-time deliveries. Ability to read workshop drawings. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Show initiative and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be physically fit, a team player with a great work ethic. Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
