About the Opportunity: We are currently looking for Leading Hands to join us at our Quality Bakers manufacturing site. This role is responsible for supporting the Team Manager with day to day responsibilities in 2IC capacity and working on the line to cover leave and breaks in the bakehouse. The overall purpose of these positions is to supervise and oversee the bread packing department, assist with escalation to Team Leader and Production Manager, manage team flow with ensuring break compliance, verify Quality & Assurance check sheets, train and comply with CCP and QCP procedures, assist with upskill and cross training and mentor new starters with classification movements. Ensure production runs in accordance with Goodman Fielder policies and procedures. Reporting into the Production Team Leader, you will work as part of the production team to ensure that our bread products are produced in a safe, timely and cost effective manner that meets quality and food safety standards. Salary Budgeted: Wed – Saturday | Day Shift @ 28.50ph Wed – Saturday | Night Shift @ 31ph Sunday - Wed | Day Shift @ 28.50ph Sunday - Wed | Night Shift @ 31ph Permanent, full time Leading Hand shifts: Wednesday to Saturday night shift – 7pm to 7am Sunday to Wednesday night shift- 7pm to 7am Wednesday to Saturday day shift – 7am to 7pm Sunday to Wednesday day shift- 7am to 7pm Responsibilities include: Operate and maintain bread slicing and molding machines with precision and efficiency. Oversee and manage the production floor, ensuring smooth and effective machine operation. Handle rostering and scheduling to optimize workforce efficiency. Provide leadership and supervision to a team of machine operators and packaging staff. Ensure adherence to quality control standards and production schedules. Collaborate with team members to address and resolve any operational issues. To be successful in this role you will need: Experience in a fast paced FMCG environment within the food industry. Availability to work the required shift times on a regular basis. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong knowledge of workplace and food safety.
