Description We are on the lookout for a Painting Leading Hand.
This role will be responsible for leading and assigning work to a crew of painters and overseeing project crews in the painting of interior and exterior surfaces of buildings/structures.
Additional responsibilities include:
Select, mix, tint, and blend paint to match existing colours for remodelling and repair work
Roll, brush, or spray paint onto exterior or interior surfaces of buildings and structures, as required
Supervise workers, subcontractors, and work activities
Refinish furniture/equipment, as required
Repair or prepare surfaces for painting, as required
Order necessary paint supplies, including tools required for the job and/or paint shop
Be responsible for maintaining the inventory of supplies in conjunction with the auditing system
Perform related duties, as assigned
Requirements: New Zealand qualification and completion of apprenticeship in Painting and Decorating
4-5 years of experience in painting projects
Supervisory skills and experience
Ability to use painting tools and associated equipment
Ability to mix and match paint to samples and existing colours
Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of this job, including heavy work
Ability to plan and develop work and equipment schedules
Valid NZ class 1 full driver's license
