We are seeking a skilled Leading Hand to join our Wanaka & Central team based in Wanaka. If you take pride in consistently delivering high-quality carpentry and excel in team collaboration, this role is for you.Key Responsibilities:Support and contribute to a positive, inclusive Build Team environmentServe as a liaison between the carpentry team and Site Manager (BTM)Manage and coordinate the team and trade partners as neededLead toolbox talks, complete timesheets, and mentor team membersPerform carpentry tasks to the highest standardsMaintain a tidy and efficient work environmentCommit to fostering a strong health and safety cultureYour tasks may include:Concrete work, framing, and siteworksInstalling hardware, insulation, joinery, windows, and doorsErecting walls, building stairs, and roof framingTrims, finishing, and installing cabinets, trim, and moldingPrecision tasks: repairing furnitureExperience and Skills required:Post qualification experience in New Zealand or Australia preferredCommercial build experience preferredExperience working in a Leading Hand position on siteProven ability to deliver on quality and high-level customer satisfactionAbility to work well in teamAbout UsBeginning in Dunedin with modest roots, Cook Brothers Construction has experienced significant growth over the past nineteen years.
