We pride ourselves on delivering complex structural projects with progressive thinking, collaborative teamwork and a diverse skill set. We are delivering Civil infrastructure projects including Bridges, Water treatment facilities, large retaining structures and most things concrete and steel.We're looking for a Leading Hand to join our team. You'll be leading a crew of carpenters and labourers. No two days will be the same in this position with leadership being the key to success, as well as excellent communication and organisational skills.Your eye for detail and the ability to think on the spot to resolve operational issues as they occur, will be key to your success.You'll ensure the completion of labouring tasks that deliver work for our customers safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard. As a Leading Hand, you may need to operate more complex machinery, which may require a high level of skill. You may also be required to step into the Foreman's role when needed.Experience in heavy construction, bridges and water treatments plants would be a bonus.We're looking for someone with:A background and experience in civil construction and the ability to lead a team to deliver quality workmanship the first time. You will be motivated, productive and share the same respect we do for creating a safe working environment.Current licenses - minimum of full class 1Experience and understanding of traffic management requirements on sitePreferred STMS level 1Preferred First aid certificateStrong written and verbal communication skillsQualification, if relevant, to use specialised equipmentKnowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in road construction and maintenanceKnowledge of machines and tools, including design, use repair and maintenanceAbility to record data including using paper, desktop or handheld computerComplete testing procedures and record resultsOperates and maintains all equipment for relevant industryWe are a committed and driven team with a strong emphasis on team culture and enjoying what we do.
