The opportunity
We are seeking a trade qualified and motivated Leading Hand with site experience looking to develop their career to join our Dunedin team.
You will be a well-rounded, competent carpenter with the ability to spot problems and resolve them in an as efficient manner as possible.
Your role will include supervision and coordination of site personnel and sub-contractors when required by the site leads i.e., Foreperson, Site Manager, etc.
As a person, you will work well within a team and have a supportive leadership style.
You will ensure that health and safety procedures are never compromised, and the company's procedures are adhered to.
You will have a willingness to tackle new challenges and expand your skills along the way.
To be successful in this position you will possess the following:
Carpentry experience
Qualified builder or carpenter looking for development with Naylor Love
Ability to read plans
Previous experience in managing labour and junior trades
Strong commitment to Health and Safety
Have an understanding of how to navigate IT systems and processes
Be a champion in health and safety
Effective time management skills including the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
