BUILDING ELECTRON AT ROCKET LAB: Rocket Lab's Electron team is responsible for building, testing, and launching our Electron rocket across our launch sites and test facilities in the United States and New Zealand. Electron is one of the world's most frequently-launched rockets, and our team behind its success are diligent, move fast, and have each others' back to deliver a reliable rocket to the launch pad time and time again.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: As Leading Hand - Composite Tanks, you will be responsible for all the work conducted in the Composite Tanks team. This includes quality and meeting scheduled milestones, as well as the efficiency and safety of the technicians operating in that work centre. Focusing on the daily tasks, you will ensure that the Tanks assembly team's productivity is maximised to enable delivery to be achieved on schedule, while never compromising on safety or quality.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING: A mindset based on cost reduction and the end goal of lean production is necessary as is competent knowledge to inspect and sign off on work completed. You must be familiar with prototype and production tasks related to the relevant/assigned work centre, and a clear understanding of timelines and estimating deliveries is essential to success in this role and key to the overall delivery of the wider project.
