We are looking for talented and passionate individuals to join our business and be part of our success. About the Opportunity: We are currently looking for a Leading Hand to join us at our Quality Bakers manufacturing site.

This role is responsible for supporting the Team Manager with day-to-day responsibilities in a 2IC capacity and working on the line to cover leave and breaks in the bakehouse.

The overall purpose of this position is to supervise and oversee the bread packing department, assist with escalation to Team Leader and Production Manager, manage team flow while ensuring break compliance, verify Quality & Assurance check sheets, train and comply with CCP and QCP procedures, assist with upskilling and cross-training, and mentor new starters with classification movements.

Ensure production runs in accordance with Goodman Fielder policies and procedures. Reporting into the Production Team Leader, you will work as part of the production team to ensure that our bread products are produced in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner that meets quality and food safety standards.

Hourly rate: $31 per hour which includes night shift allowance. Permanent, full-time Leading Hand shifts:

Wednesday to Saturday night shift 7pm to 7am - it is a 3.5 day working week.

Responsibilities include:

Safely operating bread manufacturing equipment

Adhering to food safety procedures and company policies

Reporting all injuries and hazards to your supervisors

Maintaining a clean and tidy work area

Ensuring machines run in an efficient and uninterrupted manner & assist in engineering escalation

Maintaining production waste within acceptable amounts, identifying key areas of waste and contributing to corrective actions

Meeting deadlines in a busy work environment

Keeping timely and accurate records of work activity

To be successful in this role you will need:

Experience in a fast-paced FMCG environment within the food industry

Availability to work the required shift times on a regular basis

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Strong knowledge of workplace and food safety

Strong literacy and numeracy skills

A positive work attitude and professional manner

Ability to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy
