The Aotearoa Next Gen Teamworks to support this through:Connecting: to be connected to TSA mission expressions, and to provide opportunities for connection for mission expression to connect with one anotherEquipping: to equip and resource mission expressions and leaders for their ministry to next gen.Advocating for next gen to be prioritised within TSA.Strategizing and holding vision for next-gen ministry in TSA.The Leadership Development Facilitator, Children's Mission will provide leadership as part of the Next Mission Team through leadership development so children's leaders are best equipped to work with Tamariki in their communities.What will your responsibilities be:To advance the mission of The Salvation Army (TSA).To build capacity and character of leaders through the development and oversight of children's leader training pathways, coaching and development opportunities.To coordinate and support training events, coaching, and community of practises.Equipping leaders in their efforts to foster spiritual growth in tamariki and a deeper, actionable understanding of faith that drives social change.To administer the Next Gen website and develop and outwork a strong communications plan which includes social media, website/s and platforms.To work as a member of the National Next Gen team to outwork our action plan and see the Next Generations prioritised across The Salvation Army.Our ideal candidate will:Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.Be committed to theChristian faith and be an active participant in a Salvation Army faith community.Hold a relevant degree qualification in Children's Work and/or training.Have excellent written and oral communication skills.Have a good cross-cultural understanding.Be ableto work cooperatively in a diverse and dispersed team environment, sharing information, ideas and effective practices while maintaining relevant privacy, and confidentiality.Have sound experience working with children's leaders.Have experience in children's working training development.Have experience and proven ability in communications.Have strong administration and organizational skill.Our offer to you:You can work anywhere in Aotearoa New ZealandAn additional 5 days leaveDiscounted Medical Insurance with Southern CrossTSA discount card for discount with various retailors such as Beaurepairs, Noel Leeming, Placemakers and Torpedo7Free confidential counselling services to support your wellbeingSubsidised flu vaccinationsFlexible working arrangementsFree car parking (depending on where successful applicant is based)Candidates should be adaptable, energetic, self-motivated and committed to our mission of 'caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society by God's power'This role is permanent full-time andhours worked will be 37.5 per week.The starting salary for this role will fall between$62,000 and $71,000The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between $32 and $36.This role may close early due to an increased number of applications - apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!We look forward to receiving your application.The Salvation Army is proud to be an equal opportunity employer andbelieves workplaces thrive with diversity.Reference # 9449Posted on 03 Dec 2024Closes on 22 Dec 2024 23:05Location(s) WellingtonExpertise Children's Work - Corps or Community Based
