Korero mo te turanga - About the role
Property Rights is an operational area of LINZ and works with customers in relation to survey plans and titles dealings.
There are three work areas within Property Rights: People, Delivery, and Enablement, spanning three operational office sites in Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch.
You will be joining a team of 10 leaders with responsibility for supporting our people's wellbeing, development, and performance.
This role leads our home teams and works closely with the Delivery area to ensure their people's work aligns with their expertise and appropriately reflects areas for development.
The Leader Operations is responsible for understanding their people's workloads, providing support to their people, and managing performance.
Team culture and engagement across the business unit is also a key responsibility of this role. The Leader Operations plays a vital part in our people's enthusiasm and passion for their role and their work, as well as ensuring that their teams are visibly engaged across the whole of Property Rights.
Role modelling our Values and desired behaviors will be an important aspect of this role.

Proven experience in creating and leading large and diverse operational teams with hybrid working patterns.
Proven track record of building and leading high performing teams.
Experience with and passion for fostering a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and positivity.
Experience and capability in nurturing talent, promoting professional growth and development via coaching.
Strong people leadership skills, inspiring and motivating diverse operational teams.
At least 5 years' experience with successfully leading large operational teams.

The expected appointment range for this role is between $120,000 to $135,000.
