This is a full-time opportunity with flexible working supported, covering parental leave until September 2025, based in Wellington.About the RoleIn this role, you will oversee the delivery of procurement plan objectives through effective supplier relationship management within the ISS (Information Systems & Services) portfolio.You will conduct needs analysis and long-term category planning, market research to understand category market dynamics, and analysing current category spend and supplier base.Provide strategic advice to the business on your findings, set the category strategy for your portfolio, and lead panel management ensuring they are operating efficiently.Skills and Experience RequiredTo be successful in this role, you will need:Extensive experience in a similar senior Procurement/ Category Management role, preferably in a Government Agency.Strong analytical skills, able to draw insights from data and identify trends, areas for action and improvement.Experience in developing category strategies, implementing and managing approaches to market, and understanding of the Maori Crown relationship and its importance to DOC.What We OfferDOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
