Inspire and guide our applied water scientists working towards improved water outcomes for Tamaki Makaurau. Provide scientific leadership across the council group, inputting into major strategic, policy and operational programmes and projects.Ensure research, advice and reporting delivered by the unit is of the highest quality, and embed innovation and excellence in all that you do.This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced water scientist to ensure that decisions on the management of water resources in Tamaki Makaurau are based on robust evidence.He korero mou: About youYou have ideally completed a PhD or have equivalent experience in water resource management, specifically relating to water quality.Your skills and experience include:exceptional collaboration skillsability to provide technical leadership and mentoringdata analysis, scientific reporting and communicationfamiliarity with New Zealand's regulatory framework for water management within a local government contextWe will also value your extensive network of contacts in water science.Auckland Council is the largest territorial authority in Australasia providing essential services and facilities to more than 1.6 million people.
