The opportunity: Reporting to the Vice-President, Digital Marketing, the Lead, Video & Integrated Production will be responsible for our video production practice and supporting priority integrated projects. As a relationship builder, people manager, and creative innovator, this role is integral in telling the Wellington-Altus story in relevant and distinct ways to drive brand awareness on primary channels.
Key responsibilities include: Video and integrated production management:Developing a comprehensive video and integrated production strategy, in complement to our Content & Social Channel Strategy to tell the Wellington-Altus story in authentic, creative, social-first, and innovative ways.Guiding our internal video team through the video production lifecycle ensuring we are delivering to brief.Supporting integrated projects, like our National Partners Conference, in partnership with internal and external partners.Video project management and delivery:Leading the planning and execution of all video shoots, including resource planning, budgeting, pre and postproduction management.Empowering and coaching the video team, our partners, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycle to deliver the best product possible.Processes and guidelines:Evolving and developing video and integrated production processes to guide how we work, in partnership with Marketing Leads and Corporate Stakeholders, while being agile, adaptable, and managing ambiguity in our growing organization.Understanding advisor needs related to video and developing resources that enable them to leverage video to market their practice.Strategy, brand and best practice:Presenting plans and recommendations, soliciting and sharing feedback with various key stakeholders and senior leaders.Championing video and integrated production best practices.Understanding content and channel best practices and partnering with Marketing Leaders to develop, track, measure, and optimize our efforts for continuous improvement against our KPIs.Following brand guidelines, meeting standards, supporting objectives, and positively reflecting our brand.Leadership and collaboration:Leading with integrity and a view to the bigger picture.Setting a positive example amongst the marketing team and as a representative of the marketing team, encouraging collaboration and creativity. Leading and mentoring members of the video team, including weekly 1:1s, quarterly reviews, and KPIs.Performing other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate will possess: 8+ years of hands-on experience managing video and multimedia projects, and 2+ years managing integrated projects.5+ years managing teams and direct reports.A portfolio that demonstrates video production leadership, from planning (resourcing, scouting, travel, scripting, storyboarding), through production (overseeing shot composition, camera settings, lighting setups, directing, and coaching our internal talent, audio capture) and postproduction (editing, audio mixing, motion graphics, stakeholder reviews and feedback).Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering quality video and integrated projects, in an agile and ambiguous environment, with shifting priorities and deadlines.A proven ability to work cross-functionally, drive collaboration, and incorporate feedback from peers and stakeholders.A good understanding of the finance industry with the ability to develop content and digital experience for various audiences and channels.People management, relationship building and influencing skills, including experience working with senior executives.Conditions of employment: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.Must be able to travel approximately 20% of the time.A background check, satisfactory to the employer, may be required of the successful applicant prior to commencing employment.Wellington-Altus Private Wealth is strongly committed to equity and diversity within its community and welcomes applications from women, racialized persons, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and persons of all sexual orientations and genders.
