Due to their rapid growth in scale and success, they're looking for a highly skilled Lead UX Designer to define the experience roadmap for features and functionalities for this iconic retailer/e-tailer's web, mobile apps, and in-store environments, ensuring a consistent user experience across these different platforms.
You will be responsible for designing current and future domain user experiences that meet long-term and short-term business goals and user needs (e.g. KPI's and user success metrics). As a team player, you'll collaborate effectively with managers, product managers, engineers, and researchers to define, conceptualize, and design user-facing products. You'll work through domain design problems from beginning to end: conceptualizing new products and features, designing storyboards, workflows, interactions, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and design standards based on business goals and user research. Plus, you will get to mentor younger designers on the team and champion a winning strategic vision for one of America's most talked-about retail companies.
Why You? How you'll know if you're a fit… The ideal candidate has a minimum of 7 years of experience designing across digital channels – i.e. consumer mobile applications, websites, or retail stores. A BA/BS in Design is required, preferably in UX related fields of HCI, Industrial Design, Product Design, Architecture or Graphic Design (Masters degree is preferred). Strong candidates will have a proven track record of leading and delivering elegant, world-class designs in a fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional team environment. You're quick to make data-driven decisions that inform the design of the experience. You possess solid negotiation skills across a variety of audiences, and you can successfully advocate solutions among peers and executive leadership. Plus, you have a natural ability to inspire, develop, and coach team members. Your collaboration and communication skills are something bosses and coworkers love about you. Oh, and your portfolio shows a UX talent that is grounded in an impeccable design aesthetic.
