What success looks like in this role : This role is open and invites applications from suitable candidates based in Sydney, NSW / Melbourne, Victoria and also from Wellington, New Zealand.
Preference is Wellington, NZ.
Role Summary - Provides leadership and creativity in development and implementation of services engagements with Pega Projects.
Uses strong project management skills to lead the delivery of large sized engagements and multiple engagements within planned timelines, budget, margins and quality specifications.
Directs multiple and complex projects or sub-projects, including project financials.
Directs the development and integration of project deliverables.
Establishes strong client relationships, and leverages industry expertise to translate the client's long-range business plan into a services strategy.
Identifies and pursues new business opportunities within the existing client base.
Achieves profitable revenue growth through the successful implementation of the business strategy.
Consults with clients to establish their strategic direction.
Interfaces with the client's most senior executive team to generate additional business.
Evaluates the client's business strategy, objectives and requirements.
May lead sales activities (i.e., qualifies, forecasts, prices, negotiates) for services and solutions within one's area of expertise.
Primary Responsibilities - Support the technical needs of our Pega developers (and projects) as they deliver solutions to all of our customers and will assist in designing structured enablement programs to evolve and mature our team.
Provide technical delivery leadership to multiple customers in a Lead System Architect capacity.
Lead technical streams of pre-sale activity and lead the technical evolution of the practice by shaping build assets that support Go to Market strategies.
Leading Inception and Design workshops through DCO and other Pega tools.
Ability to lead the Business Requirements Gathering, Design Solutions and to Derive Estimates for Pega Implementations.
Should be able to Propose Solutions in Pega to fit the users requirements along with Enterprise Reuse and Framework Implementations.
Ability to identify the Risks and Dependencies for the solution during Project execution.
Should have excellent Technical skills in Pega Case Management, Decisioning and Integration capabilities.
Ability to understand the external applications and Integration Components (RDBMS, REST, SOAP, etc) and implement solutions.
Recommend reusable components and process improvement options within the SDLC.
Ability to handle Non-Functional Requirements and provide suitable solutions for Performance, Integrations, Security Requirements etc.
Ability to lead the team and to effectively share knowledge and expertise with team members.
Excellent verbal and written English with confidence and experience in presenting to business SMEs and stakeholders.
Ability to foster collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and user groups.
Provides assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications.
You will be successful in this role if you have : Essential - Minimum 8 years experience with large applications development projects (Pega development projects highly preferred) within a government domain / environment.
Must be a certified "Certified Lead Systems Architect" LSA.
Experience in a range of delivery methodologies including Agile development (Scrum).
Domain knowledge of Government.
Experience in a high pressure, dynamic and fast-moving environment.
Experience interacting with off-shore resources.
High order relationship management skills (ability to operate at C level).
Programme / Project planning and execution.
Commercial acumen ability to negotiate complex delivery aspects in contract negotiations.
Gaining commitment from customers and senior management to achieve outcomes.
Robust understanding of project financials.
Fixed price, Earned Revenue, T&M delivery models.
Performance management.
Ability to design and execute strategies to drive change.
Well-developed leadership skills ability to lead teams to successful outcomes.
Ability to build capability / capacity to deliver new outcomes practice development.
Interaction and influence with mid-level client leadership.
Relative contributions to multi-disciplined project teams to design, develop, deliver, and maintain technical solutions that meet client requirements.
Knowledge and proficiency in solution implementation techniques within their area of expertise.
Industry certifications in their area of expertise.
