We now have a nationwide footprint with our HQ in Mt Eden, Auckland and solar hubs up and down the country.Key responsibilities:Assist the Hub Manager with planning and coordinating teams daily in Christchurch.Lead and supervise a team in the installation, repair, and maintenance of solar systems on various product types. This includes everything from the mounting equipment on the roof to the electrical systems we install.Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate electrical requirements, identify potential challenges, and recommend appropriate solutions.Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components, including inverters, wiring, switches, conduits, and electrical panels.Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout all project phases.Train and mentor junior electricians, providing guidance on best practices and promoting a culture of safety and quality workmanship.Perform system testing and commissioning to verify proper electrical functionality and optimize solar system performance.Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and as-built documentation.Make sure stock levels are maintained for each installation.Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in electrical codes and regulations.Ensure all supporting documentation required is done in a timely manner. COCs etc.Maintain clear and regular communication with management and all staff members.Strongly promote and reinforce a proactive health and safety culture, and participate in health, safety & wellbeing education, and training where necessary.Consider health, safety & wellbeing issues when making decisions.Any other tasks reasonably required to complete business operations.About you:Strong knowledge of various manufacturers equipment, materials, and installation techniques. (preferred)EWRB Electrical Registration.Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Demonstrate good judgment when working with team members and client contacts and take initiative when required.Effective use of IT systems including Simpro and Microsoft Office.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a Solar Electrician?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?
