Job DescriptionEnd DateSunday 05 January 2025Salary Range£86,964 - £102,310Flexible Working OptionsHybrid WorkingJOB TITLE: Lead Quality EngineerSALARY: £86,964 - £102,310LOCATION: LeedsHOURS: Full timeWORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, in our Leeds office.About this opportunity:We are looking for dedicated engineers to join brand-new feature teams and leadership dedicated to building an enhanced stockbroking platform.In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of online trading by designing and implementing a streamlined, customer and colleague focused platform that will redefine how our customers invest.Here's where you'll make the difference:Join the lab engineering leadership team, shape the team's direction as we maintain the current platform and enhance our future proposition.Collaborate with the head of engineering, product owners, architects, and other stakeholders to define and execute on the lab's roadmap, scope, and deliverables.Mentor and coach software engineers, developing their skills and career growth.Drive the culture of delivering highly resilient, secure, and quality software.Drive adoption of best engineering practices.What you'll need:Leadership, management, and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower the quality engineering team.Delivering test strategies and test plans.Hands-on experience with a range of programming, testing frameworks, and technologies, e.g.
JavaScript, TypeScript, React, NodeJS, Express, and Kafka.Test automation and CI/CD across the SDLC.Experience working with large-scale applications where high performance and low latency is a must.Experience using distributed systems and event-driven architectures.Cloud solutions and integration with SaaS solutions via APIs.Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms such as GCP.And the following would be really useful:Delivering software solutions in financial services (particularly trading/investments or wealth).Delivering large-scale data migrations (500k+ customers).Certifications in any of the above technologies.About working for us:Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates in all its forms.We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background or culture.We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative.And it's why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups.We're confident.
