Our Mission is to enhance the future of NZ agriculture.Located in Gisborne and reporting to the Field Operations Manager, the role will be responsible for leading a team of two agronomists and a field operator to oversee and optimise the timely and accurate in-season management (field planning and preparation, planting, weed control, roguing, detasseling and harvesting) of the annual seed crops by providing accurate and comprehensive technical advice, regular crop monitoring, crop management guidance and reporting.We require someone who has a strong interest in executing the best agronomic and operational practices associated with the seed production process.In addition, you must have the following attributes and experience:Senior level agronomy experience and a demonstrable in-field crop management track recordProven understanding of crop production systems, including crop nutrient requirements, weed, pest and disease management and controlThe desire to expand your own knowledge, experience and abilities as technology and business needs changeField staff management and leadership experience would be an advantageIf this sounds like you, we would be very keen to hear from you.
