The Polynesian Health Corridors (PHC) team supports Polynesian countries through a range of modalities. In addition to directly assisting countries in some areas, the PHC team also contracts partners/suppliers for technical assistance, acts as a knowledge hub, supports mentoring, and facilitates connections.
About the role
The Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) pillar objective is to provide Polynesian countries with support for cancer control and mental health activities. As the Lead – NCD, you are responsible for the strategic development, design, planning, monitoring, reporting, and implementation of the work programme.
This role is fixed term for 5 years and has a salary midpoint of $140,938, with the actual salary dependent on your experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Familiarity with health and development issues of Polynesian countries and the connections to Pasifika communities in NZ.
Experience collaborating and brokering with other stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
Knowledge of international development, development programmes, and principles.
Advanced knowledge of the machinery of Government, risk management, and managing at the political interface.
Minimum Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Medicine, Public Health, Population Health, or a relevant field.
