Fixed term for 5 years
Non-Communicable Disease pillar of the Polynesian Health Corridors programme
Support Polynesian countries with cancer control and mental health activities.
The Polynesian Health Corridors (PHC) team supports Polynesian countries through a range of modalities. In addition to directly assisting countries in some areas, the PHC team also contracts partners/suppliers for technical assistance, acts as a knowledge hub, supports mentoring, and facilitates connections.
About the role
The Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) pillar objective is to provide Polynesian countries with support for cancer control and mental health activities.
As the Lead – NCD, you are responsible for the strategic development, design, planning, monitoring, reporting, and implementation of the work programme.
This role is fixed term for 5 years and has a salary midpoint of $140,938, actual salary dependent on your experience.
Ko pukenga - What you'll bring

Familiar with health and development issues of Polynesian countries and the connections to Pasifika communities in NZ
Experience collaborating and brokering with other stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
Knowledge of international development, development programmes, and principles
Advanced knowledge of the machinery of Government, risk management, managing at the political interface
Tertiary qualification in Medicine, Public Health, Population Health, or a relevant field
