Lead Graphic Designer - Marketing

Our client is a renowned NZ owned corporate wear and uniform company. We are seeking an experienced senior Graphic Designer to play a crucial role in managing their creative team. The successful applicant will work closely with the Marketing Manager to develop and execute designs that align with their brand vision. Responsible for creating engaging and creative content across online and print channels for both B2B and B2C audiences, you'll be leading a team of fun, motivated creatives who love collaboration and a good banter.
Key Responsibilities: Manage, mentor, and support a team of designers, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to deadlines. Delegate tasks effectively, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to maintain high standards of creativity and quality. Interpret and execute project briefs from clients, ensuring that all design work meets their requirements and aligns with our brand standards. Research, design, and paginate seven annual catalogues, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and creativity throughout the process. Develop storyboards and shot lists to ensure cohesive and effective visual storytelling. Scout and secure models and locations, manage budgets, and coordinate logistics for photoshoots. Direct on-shoot activities, oversee final shot selection, and handle retouching to achieve the desired visual outcomes. Design and produce high-quality assets for marketing campaigns, including digital content for social media, website graphics, email marketing, and print materials such as flyers and advertisements. Qualifications and Skills: A minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably within the apparel or fashion industry. Proven experience in leading and managing a design team, with the ability to delegate tasks, mentor team members, and ensure deadlines are met. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and branding. Experience in directing photoshoots and production planning. Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and visual details. This is a comprehensive and exciting role working with a top team and you will need to have excellent communication skills. There is also opportunity for growth within this fixed term role of 1 year.
