Drawing on our experience advising the New Zealand government for more than 20 years, we teach those frameworks and tools through our practical courses in applied decision-making skills.
About this role This role supports the work of Frank Capability and reports to the CEO.
As the Lead Facilitator for the Frank Capability team, you will be responsible for delivering our training courses in applied decision-making frameworks, both face to face and online.
You will ensure learner success from onboarding to course completion and contribute to our positive corporate culture.
You will support the CEO and Managing Director to liaise with clients in order to understand their needs.
As an experienced facilitator, you are across best practice in adult learning.
What will you be doing and how?

Rigour Manage pre-course communications with learners and clients.
Facilitate courses: both online and face to face.
Complete observations form.
Send out required follow-up material for all courses.
Analyse post-course surveys for all courses.
Write post-course reports for clients.
Accurately record testimonials.
Update the continuous improvement log.
Stay up-to-date with government processes, practices, and policy priorities.
Stay up-to-date with best practice in adult learning approaches.
Kindness Create a learning environment where all participants can thrive and learn alongside each other.
Actively and positively participate as a member of the team.
You will: Engage credibly with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Develop and maintain effective learner, client, and colleague relationships.
Engage in building a strong professional network.
Generosity Respond to participants' questions (mostly through email).
Provide feedback on learners' coursework.
Contribute to our continuous improvement processes.
Other Any other reasonable duties as required.
About you You will come to us with experience facilitating adult learning, both online and face to face.
You will have some policy experience in either central or local government (to a senior analyst level or above), with a high level of political awareness and knowledge of machinery of government.
You are adaptable and comfortable with the fast-paced, changing nature of a small and ambitious business.
And you understand – or are keen to learn – how to support the growth and success of a small business.
We value the following mix of competencies, experience, and skills.
This is an ideal list, and it's not expected that you bring all of these.
You will: Have 3-5 years delivery experience in learning and development.
Have excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills.
Have a strong understanding of best practice in adult learning approaches.
Have a highly-developed understanding of people-focused policy areas, such as health, education, social services, or similar.
Have a strong understanding of policy development processes and the machinery of government, and the public sector context.
Be comfortable working independently.
Have the ability to manage competing priorities on time and under pressure.
Be able to communicate complex concepts clearly and succinctly with examples to embed learning.
Be passionate about supporting the next generation of public servants to learn the skills they need to succeed advising Ministers and senior leaders.
Have the ability to represent Frank Group at external events, with poise and confidence.
Strive to surprise and delight our clients in every interaction.
This is a full-time role based in Wellington, fixed term for one year.
