We are expanding and need an experienced Lead Estimator to join our Auckland infrastructure team. This role offers the chance to not only lead on projects of national significance, but also to play a key role in shaping the ongoing development of our infrastructure team. As our Lead Estimator, you will be instrumental in driving our project delivery, fostering client relationships, and working with our high performing team to achieve our strategic objectives.What will you do:Project Leadership: With your level of expertise, you will lead our delivery on billion-dollar projects of national significance from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.Strategic Cost Management: Your extensive knowledge and experience will enable you to provide expert advice on all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost planning, value engineering, risk management, and procurement to maximize project value and efficiency.Client Relations: Using your excellent stakeholder management skills, you will be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders. You will understand their needs and be able to deliver exceptional outcomes for your clients.Team Development: You are someone who enjoys mentoring and developing others, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the team.Innovation and Improvement: Leaning on your experience you are able to drive innovation in our practices and processes, ensuring RLB remains the leading Professional Quantity Surveying firm in New Zealand.Who you are:You are a highly experienced Professional Quantity Surveyor with a relevant tertiary qualification in quantity surveying, construction management, or a closely related field.You will have 10+ years estimating experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the New Zealand market.You have advanced technical expertise, demonstrating mastery in first principles estimation and comprehensive knowledge of contemporary construction methodologies and techniques.You are highly skilled in communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management, with the ability to build lasting relationships.You are highly organised and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.You are committed to professional development, both your own and your colleagues.
