Mo te turanga | About the Role Reporting to the Service Owner with a dotted line to the Technical Lead, the Lead Engineer is responsible for leading and enabling the growth, quality and capabilities required to support the continuous improvement of ServiceNow Platform delivery at Westpac. The primary focus is to manage the prioritised day-to-day work by the System Administrators and Developers in the Squad. This role is about using experience to drive improvements that enable Westpac and its customers to be Future Ready while also meeting operational and strategic targets. It is about supporting the goals of being a learning organisation with a focus on Service Management mastery. The person performing this role is expected to be a master of their craft and must be able to demonstrate thorough understanding of the ServiceNow Platform and its Products. You will also be required to support multiple other applications, such as Whispir, Archer and Flexera. As a member of this squad, you will lead application support and provide expert-level support for a wide range of applications used across the organisation. Troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Act as the escalation point for critical incidents and provide guidance to junior members of the support team. With an ability to work with others and collaborate, you will bring a focused approach to continuous improvement. Na tau rourou | What will you bring? 2-5 years' experience working with the ServiceNow Platform and its Products in a Technical Lead role – focused on design, solution within the platform and supporting development teams. Strong interpersonal effectiveness with ability to collaborate at all levels. Ability to drive change effectively, coach and mentor engineering squads. Demonstrate strong documentation skills. Experience of Agile methodologies and best practice. ServiceNow Certifications, i.e. ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or any other ServiceNow certs desirable. Tertiary level qualifications in IT, IS or associated disciplines or equivalent.
