Our established café is about to reopen. We are currently refreshing in preparation for our reopening as a Continental style bakery.We are looking for an experienced baker who is a master in making sweet pastries in viennoserie tradition.To join our team, you should be professionally presented, commercially savvy, and have a New Zealand experience in the baking industry. We're looking for a qualified baker with strong skills, especially in Danish pastries and Eclairs. Barista skills and prior coffee-making experience are also an advantage.This is a full-time role with an hourly rate of NZD 30-35, depending on skills and experience.What's the role?Take ownership of the day to day operations of our Café to ensure production goals are achieved. Strong leadership skills and willingness to pass on knowledge to other team members adding value to a healthy work environment. Work with our operations management to grow our teams capability. Have a strong knowledge of bakery and equipment. Be great communicator who enjoys leading and working with a team. Have a creative flair when it comes to assisting with product development.What do you need to have?High energy, high standars, high performance. Consistent in work ethics. Passionate about your role and work with purpose. Excellent communications skills. Have a background baking in a café environment. Have minimum of 3 years previous food handling and bakery experience.Hours of Work:Monday-Friday (and occasionally weekends during peak seasons). Full time with guaranteed 30 hours of work weekly.
