Pay: hourly rate NZD 30-35, depending on skills and experience.Position: Lead BakerLocation: Newton, AucklandType: Full-timeWe are seeking a qualified, professional baker with coffee-making experience. Our established café is about to reopen, refreshing in preparation for our reopening as a Continental style bakery.We are looking for an experienced baker who is a master in making sweet pastries in the viennoiserie tradition.Responsibilities:Take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our Café to ensure production goals are achieved.Demonstrate strong leadership skills and a willingness to pass on knowledge to other team members, adding value to a healthy work environment.Work with our operations management to grow our team's capability.Maintain a strong knowledge of bakery and equipment.Be a great communicator who enjoys leading and working with a team.Assist with product development using your creative flair.Requirements:High energy, high standards, high performance.Consistent work ethics.Passionate about your role and work with purpose.Excellent communication skills.Background in baking in a café environment.Minimum of 3 years previous food handling and bakery experience.Hours of Work:Monday-Friday (and occasionally weekends during peak seasons).
