Duties include some or all of the following: Assisting Head Landscaper with landscape installations including but not limited to retaining walls, paving stone patios, cedar and metal fences and plantingExtensive shoveling and rakingLifting heavy loads (up to 70 lbs) of a variety of materials including Allan Block, pavers, rock, natural stone and lumberTransporting materials including wheelbarrowing of road gravel, drain rock, topsoilOperation of small equipment including; compactor, various saws and drills, sanders, laser level, jackhammerOrganize tools for start and end of dayPerform setup and cleanup tasks at the job site.Please Note: This is a physically demanding position which requires: bending, crouching, kneeling, liftingAbility to work in various locations outdoors in a variety of conditions including wet, cold, hot, dustyEmployee Requirements Class 5 Driver's LicenseOwn transportation to and from job siteNon smokerStrong communication skills (able to communicate with clients/homeowner in a respectful manner)Basic understanding of construction principles & tool operation (shovel, rake, drills, saws, wheelbarrows etc.). Previous experience is an assetComfort working outdoors in a variety of conditions including wet, cold, hot, dustyHand eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail and quality workmanshipPPE – Steel toe boots, gloves, gogglesWhat we are offering: Seasonal employment.
