Starting Salary: $77,359
Location: Napier, Hawkes Bay
Labour inspectors are responsible for ensuring that employers comply with legislative provisions relating to the payment of the minimum wage, holiday and leave entitlements, written employment agreements, and mandatory record-keeping requirements.
This role will focus on ensuring employers are compliant with both employment standards and Immigration policy within the Recognised Seasonal Employer scheme. The scheme responds to New Zealand labour market shortages in the horticulture and viticulture industries by allowing the recruitment of short-term migrant labour from the Pacific.
