Laboratory Technician - Part Time (20 hours)The RoleReporting to the Product Development Manager Sports & Foods, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Product Development Sport and Food team in East Tamaki. In this role, you will work as part of the NPD team and provide technical service and support to our Product Development Technologists. This is a busy role filled with variety where you will be sampling ingredients, responding to technical queries, and conducting sensory testing.This is a part-time, permanent role of 20 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday.Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToAssist with the development of product formulationsManage the day-to-day running of the PD lab including ingredient samplingCoordinate the sensory testing of new, existing, and competitor productsAssist QA and QC teams investigate product and ingredient quality questionsAbout YouDemonstrate good attention to detail and organisational skillsProve yourself to be pragmatic, pro-active, and solutions focusedBe able to work independently as well as in a team environmentComputer literate – Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)Prior experience in a laboratory technician role will be considered an advantageIdeally, you'll have some lab experience, but whether that is in a previous workplace or a university lab, is not a problem for us. We are looking for someone who is as committed and high performing as the rest of the team.
