An opportunity has arisen for a newly created role in the council's IANZ accredited laboratory which is situated at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Kioreroa Road.To be successful in this role you will work as part of our small specialist team and be responsible for:Collecting water, wastewater and a range of other environmental samples and undertaking the ensuing chemical and microbiological analysisRecording of and assistance with interpretation of resultsMeeting quality management objectivesGeneral laboratory analysis and assistance to customersWe are looking for enthusiastic, self motivated individuals who will have an appropriate tertiary qualification in science and relevant laboratory work experience.A current driver's licence is an essential requirement.Working within CouncilHere at Whangarei District Council, we take genuine pride in having one of New Zealand's most welcoming and supportive work environments, with the awards to prove it.
